Planning Maddy and Mike’s wedding day was one of those weekends that truly reminds us why we love what we do. We connected with Maddy and her mom early in the year to help with everything from creative vision to all the logistics — which, if you know us, is our absolute favorite part (we truly geek out over it).
During our first creative meeting, Maddy shared her inspiration and color palette: pinks, navy, and a deep emerald green. From the moment she described it, we couldn’t stop imagining what the florals would look like. Bright, cheerful, and full of personality — these colors were an absolute dream to design with.

The day began relaxed, joyful, and full of laughter.
Maddy and her girls got ready together at an Airbnb, spending the morning with close friends while hair and makeup wrapped up. Between the laughs, stories, and quiet excitement, it was the perfect start to the day.
Before seeing Mike, Maddy shared a first look with her bridesmaids …a sweet, emotional moment filled with happy tears, hugs, and so much excitement as her girls saw her in her dress for the first time.
Meanwhile, the guys kept things simple and fun, getting ready together at a groomsmen’s house easygoing and low-key.

Transportation arrived at just the right time for Maddy and Mike’s first look, and it was everything. The tears, the sweet words, the exchange of meaningful gifts. ( emotional, heartfelt, and so incredibly genuine)

After soaking in that moment, the wedding party hopped on the bus for photos at the park before heading to IHM Church for the ceremony.
Before guests arrived, Maddy shared another deeply meaningful moment, a first look with her dad. A quiet pause filled with emotion before the ceremony began.

The ceremony itself was incredibly special. As a teacher, Maddy had several of her students take part, helping with prayers during the ceremony. Many students and their families attended to watch their teacher get married, making the moment even more meaningful.
After Maddy and Mike said “I do,” guests cheered as they exited the church, followed by family photos inside before heading to celebrate the evening ahead.

Guests then made their way to The Bluffs at Conner Prairie for cocktail hour, which was filled with connection, conversation, and yummy signature drinks crafted just for the day.
From mingling and catching up with loved ones, to browsing photo displays, leaving messages on the phone guest book, and flipping through a book made by Maddy’s students- every detail felt personal and intentional.

While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, Maddy and Mike snuck away for sunset photos and one of our favorite moments of the entire day .. their private room reveal.
There’s something incredibly special about watching a couple walk into their reception space together, just the two of them, taking in the room before anyone else arrives. Seeing their vision come to life and soaking it all in with their future partner is always such a powerful moment. Of course, we made sure snacks and drinks were waiting so they could relax before the reception began.

As guests entered the reception, they were welcomed by bright, stunning florals from Willow & Star, hanging greenery, and a space that felt warm, vibrant, and inviting.
One of our favorite personal touches? Table numbers featuring childhood photos of Maddy and Mike, making it so fun for guests to search for their table while laughing and reminiscing over the photos.
The band kicked off the evening with energy, starting with a welcome and cake cutting, followed by dinner and heartfelt toasts from the father of the bride, maid of honor, and best man. Bringing laughter, tears, and laughter all over again.
Special dances with parents followed, and then it was officially time for the dance floor.
Maddy also surprised everyone with a hair change for the reception, adding a fun, fresh look that was perfect for the night ahead.

The party didn’t stop. The dance floor stayed packed thanks to:
Guests also stepped outside to enjoy the crisp November air by the heaters, checking out the cigar bar or taking a quick breather before heading right back inside for nonstop dancing.
This night was truly one to remember. Maddy and Mike are the kind of couple who are simply easy to celebrate — joyful, kind, and full of a love that was felt in every moment of the day.
A perfect November wedding, from start to finish.
