A Rainy Day Fairytale: Miranda & Mike’s Wedding at Artisan Acres

In my opinion, June 13th is a lucky day—especially this year. Because on this day, we had the honor of celebrating the marriage of two of the kindest souls: Miranda and Mike.

Their wedding day at Artisan Acres didn’t unfold exactly as we planned, but honestly? The unexpected changes made it all the more magical. With rain falling gently and the radar giving us nothing but blotchy uncertainty, we made the call to move the ceremony indoors. Surrounded by towering trees and the soothing sound of rainfall, the ceremony became unbelievably romantic—like something straight out of a movie.

Then, like clockwork, the skies cleared just in time for cocktail hour. Guests mingled and sipped on the stone patio while the newlyweds got their dreamy garden photos—proof that sometimes, a little rain makes everything bloom brighter.

Dinner by Ritz Charles was delicious as always, but Miranda and Mike added a twist we’ve never seen before: a raffle! Guests could purchase tickets to win a prize pot, and it was a hit. Laughter, light-hearted competition, and a fun surprise gave the evening a playful, memorable touch.

Once speeches were given and the sweet parent dances wrapped, the party didn’t miss a beat, especially with the Pacers game playing on a TV the DJ brought! Guests danced the night away, occasionally checking the score, making it the perfect blend of celebration and Hoosier spirit.

Other beautiful details we adored:

Miranda hand-selected potted florals to display the table assignments—so thoughtful and perfect for the venue’s garden setting.
A Love Story table with all the parents and grandparent’s wedding photos.
A Polaroid station with letter prompts let guests snap photos and leave heartfelt (and often hilarious) notes for the bride and groom.
Penny- Flower pup was right next to her parents for the Ceremony

Miranda and Mike’s day was a beautiful example of how love, a little flexibility, and a whole lot of joy can turn any forecast into something unforgettable. Rain or shine, this day was pure magic.
