Did you know September is one of the most popular—and best—months to get married in Indiana? After celebrating Katie and David’s beautiful wedding, I can absolutely see why! Their special day boasted that perfect transition to fall: a crispness in the air, sunshine, and temperatures that were neither too hot nor too cold. It was just right, creating the perfect setting for a wedding close to my heart.

This one was personal, as Katie and I go way back, and it was an honor not only to help plan her wedding but also to stand beside her as she married David. The couple had a specific vision for their wedding day, and every vendor went above and beyond to bring it to life. From the carefully curated stationery to the breathtaking floral arrangements and architectural elements, their vision transformed the space in ways I’d never seen before.

Katie and David wanted that “wow” factor, and Elizabeth from Satin & Stems delivered! Elizabeth crafted a stunning backdrop for the dance floor and band that not only brought their ideas together but truly embodied their vision . The day unfolded seamlessly: a sweet outdoor ceremony, followed by live music and cocktails on the patio, and then a delicious dinner inside in the elegantly decorated venue. And that cake—an Italian creation I’m still dreaming about!

The heartfelt speeches and the first dances created special moments for everyone to savor. When the band kicked off, the energy was electric, carrying us into the night until the final dance, where Katie and David shared a joyful moment in the center of the dance floor, surrounded by loved ones as they brought their unforgettable day to a close. It was a perfect celebration of love and laughter, and it was the perfect start of their beautiful journey together.
